The annual "The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering" concours is one of the premier, and most exclusive events on the Monterey Peninsula during car week, showcasing some of the finest in luxury, exotic and vintage automobiles. It is also one of the hardest-to-get tickets in town, typically selling out on the first day of ticket sales.

This year's Quail Gathering featured milestone cars of 1934, the German race cars of the Nürburgring, Alfa Romeo Special Coachbuilders, and 45 Years of the Shelby Mustang with Carroll Shelby. The Quail Gathering also hosts a who's-who of VIP guests in a relaxed, yet elegant outdoor setting on the greens of the beautiful Quail Lodge Resort & Golf Club in Carmel Valley, California. The event also features a caviar tasting bar, champagne and vodka tasting and gourmet cuisine from several counties. The Quail event is also the location of the Bonhams & Butterfield auction.
